Since qualifying as a Life Coach I have been working primarily with Family Carers through my coaching business, Ikshana Life Coaching. Ikshana, meaning 'New Vision'. Along with running my coaching practice I have worked with organisations including Care Alliance Ireland, Acquired Brain Injury Ireland and Rare Ireland, delivering workshops and presentations on their back to work and education programmes and also providing one to one coaching sessions to their members.
Coaching sessions for parents that are looking after a child with additional needs or a diagnosis is very often the only safe, non-judgemental space where they can open up about the emotions that are coming up for them and the challenges that they are facing as they try to navigate this journey.
